VCCA Fellow and Southwest School of Art (SSA) President Paula Owen will host a casual VCCA gathering on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 5-7 p.m. in SSA’s Urschel Building Lounge in San Antonio, Texas.
With hundreds of VCCA writer-Fellows in San Antonio for the 2020 AWP Conference & Bookfair, we hope to see a great turnout! All Fellows are welcome to come by anytime during the two-hour window and are encouraged to bring friends new to VCCA. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

From the Henry B. González Convention Center, the Southwest School of Art is a 40-minute walk north along the San Antonio River Walk. Of course, more direct walking routes, Lyft and Uber are also options. The entrance to the SSA campus from the River Walk is just after Augusta Street (the streets above are identified for those on the River Walk). After ascending the steps to the campus, you should continue straight along a walkway through a large courtyard approaching the inner courtyard through the buildings; you will be facing a door to the Urschel Building. Just inside that door, to the left, is the lounge. An accessible entry is located nearby. There will be people stationed around campus to guide, point, reassure, gesture, etc.
