After two sold out screenings at New York City’s The Human Rights Festival, Alessandra Zeka and Holen Sabrina Kahn’s A Quiet Inquisitionis hitting the film festival circuit with scheduled screenings in Mexico City. Silver Spring, MD and New York.
The film follows an OBGYN Doctor at a public hospital in Managua, Nicaragua as she contends with the harrowing implications of a new law banning all abortion, even in cases of rape, incest, or to save a woman’s life.

From the film’s press release: “As she and her colleagues navigate between the potential of prosecution and whether to the use medical protocols that enable them to save lives, the drama of the deadly impact of this law emerges, illuminating the reality of prohibition against the backdrop of a political, religious and historically complex national identity.  As the stakes elevate, and the fatalities become personal, the doctor’s outrage and sadness transform into a willingness to act boldly in the face of the law.” http://quietinquisition.com/
