Michael Kolster’s work is on view at PhoPa Gallery in Portland, Maine through October 25. In Proving Ground, which features images from different bodies of work using a wide variety of techniques: one-of-a-kind color collages, silver gelatin panoramic prints and drawings made with photographic chemicals, Michael is able to explore the most basic elements of the photographic medium: depth, tone, and shape.
